NATURAL CONDITIONS

Phu Hoa district is on the left bank of the Da Rang river, bordering Tuy An district to the north, Dong Hoa and Tay Hoa districts to the south, Tuy Hoa city to the east, and Son Hoa district to the west.

Located on the axis of National Highway 1 and National Highway 25 almost from east to west, Phu Hoa district has favorable conditions for economic exchange to develop its potential in all aspects as well as take advantage of its own advantages to exchange and cooperate with other provinces, especially the Central Highlands region. Phu Hoa district has a total natural land area of about 263.39 km2, accounting for 5.21% of the natural area of the province. Located in the Da Rang river delta, guarding the gateway to the Central Highlands. The forestry land area of the whole district is 10,976.40 ha and the total agricultural land area is 8,654.30 ha, of which the rice growing area is the main area.

Phu Hoa is blessed by nature with not only fertile plains that are favorable for the development of rice, but also has great potential for reserves of materials used in the basic construction industry (sand, soil, stone); some areas exploit sand and gravel in Hoa An, Hoa Thang communes, and Phu Hoa town. Phu Hoa supplies a large volume of construction materials not only in the district but also to neighboring areas.

Phu Hoa district has the common characteristics of the tropical monsoon climate of the South Central region, with two distinct seasons each year. In addition to the common characteristics, Phu Hoa's climate and hydrology also have some unique characteristics due to the impact of geographical location and terrain. Phu Hoa's winds are mainly monsoon and southwest winds, with the main wind directions being southeast, northeast and southwest. The annual rainfall is about 1700mm, mainly concentrated in the last four months of the year.
