Summary of local defense and military tasks in 2024

On November 28, the People's Committee of Phu Hoa district held a conference to review local defense and military tasks in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025.

Attending the conference were comrade Huynh Thi Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Nguyen Ba Khai, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee; Nguyen Van Quyen, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Commander of the District Military Command; leaders of the District Military Command and agencies, units, departments, boards, and unions of the district; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Committee and Military Command of 9 communes and towns.

In 2024, the district armed forces will continue to strictly maintain combat readiness, natural disaster prevention and search and rescue; select and call 273 young people to join the army, reaching 100% of the assigned target; coordinate training in national defense and security knowledge for 37 subjects 2, 3, 4; provide national defense and security education for 3,282 students of 3 high schools, reaching 100%. Organize the construction and management of militia and self-defense forces in accordance with the law, perform well the registration, management, inspection, and re-inspection of reserve militia, the number of troops reaching 100%; train 980 militia and self-defense forces, ensuring the prescribed time.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Quyen, member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Commander of the District Military Command, reported on the results of implementing local defense and military tasks in 2024.

Carrying out the local defense and military tasks in 2025, Phu Hoa district continues to do a good job of training and political education for the subjects to ensure quality, close to the actual local situation; carry out the military recruitment work well, selecting young people with adequate health, cultural level, political qualities, completing 100% of the assigned targets.

Strive for the rate of party members in the militia to reach over 30%; 100% of communes and towns to organize mobile militia platoons. Arrange reserve soldiers in reserve mobilization units to reach 99.9% or more, the rate of correct military professionalism to reach over 85%; the rate of party members in reserve soldiers to reach over 12%. In addition, 100% of subjects are trained with sufficient content and time as prescribed.

Concluding the conference, comrade Nguyen Ba Khai, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee requested the district military force to continue to strictly maintain combat readiness duties; organize training for subjects according to the prescribed program; coordinate well in ensuring political security - social order and safety in the area.
