Volleyball Tournament to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army
On November 20, the Phu Hoa District Military Command opened a volleyball tournament to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Huynh Thi Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Quyen, member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Commander of the District Military Command; officers and soldiers of the District Military Command and 120 athletes participating in the competition.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Quyen, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Commander of the District Military Command delivered the opening speech.
The tournament has 13 teams with more than 120 athletes from the District Military Command, the Military Commands of communes and towns, the self-defense forces of the District Party Committee, the District People's Committee and the District Police. The teams are divided into 4 groups, competing in a round-robin to calculate points, selecting the best team in each group to compete in the semi-finals and finals. The tournament takes place from November 20 to 23 at the District Multi-purpose Training and Competition Hall.
Comrade Huynh Thi Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and leaders of the District Military Command presented souvenir flags to the participating teams.
Through the tournament, we aim to promote the physical education and sports movement in the district's armed forces, create solidarity, and improve health to successfully carry out assigned tasks.
