The conference was attended by leaders of a number of agencies and units in the province. In the district, there were comrade Huynh Thi Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Nguyen Ngoc Tuong, Member of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee; leaders of the District Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; leaders of relevant agencies, units and organizations of the district; leaders of the People's Committees of communes and towns and leaders of agricultural service cooperatives in the area.

The report at the conference said that the total area of annual crops in the district was 13,725 hectares, down 1.4% compared to the previous year; the output of grain crops was 83,310 tons, reaching over 104% of the plan, of which the rice area was 10,766 hectares, the yield was 76.3 quintals/hectare, the output was 82,154 tons, reaching 103.3% of the plan, up 2.6% over the same period. During the year, the district converted 76.6 hectares of ineffective rice land to other crops with higher efficiency.

Regarding livestock farming, continue to develop household livestock farming associated with strict disease control for livestock herds, maintain 5 large-scale, concentrated livestock farms with product consumption linkages. Currently, the herd of buffalo and cattle is 23,540, the herd of pigs is 18,995, and the herd of poultry is over 685,000.
Regarding forestry, continue to guide people to take care of planted forests into production forests with an area of about 35.4 hectares, forest coverage of 37%; organize 108 patrols and forest inspections in communes; provide localities with 500 scattered seedlings of various types, 60,000 hybrid acacia trees for concentrated forest planting...

Up to now, the district has 8/8 communes meeting new rural standards, 7/8 communes meeting advanced new rural standards, 1/8 communes meeting model new rural standards; 11 model new rural residential areas and 20 model new rural gardens. Up to now, the district has 21 OCOP products recognized, of which 19 products have achieved 3 stars and 2 products have achieved 4 stars.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing, pointing out shortcomings and limitations and discussing solutions to implement the district's agricultural production directions and tasks in 2025.

In 2025, the district's agricultural sector strives for a total grain output of over 81,600 tons, of which rice output will reach over 80,400 tons. Continue to replicate effective livestock models, focusing on biosafety livestock. Forest coverage rate reaches over 37.3%. Complete 8/8 communes meeting advanced new rural standards; strive to build 1 more commune to achieve model new rural standards; maintain a new rural district and complete the criteria and documents proving the advanced new rural district to submit to the Prime Minister for recognition in 2025. Strive to have 5-7 OCOP products recognized with 3 stars or more.
Concluding the conference, comrade Nguyen Ngoc Tuong, Member of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the district's agricultural sector in the past year. In the coming time, he suggested that the agricultural sector continue to promote the implementation of the high-tech agricultural development program associated with restructuring the agricultural sector, focusing on mobilizing farmers to maintain and replicate effective agricultural models.
