Luong Van Chanh Secondary School organizes STEM festival - English Club for the 2024-2025 school year

On November 16, Luong Van Chanh Secondary School (Hoa Tri Commune) organized the STEM festival - English Club for the 2024-2025 school year. This is the unit chosen by the District Department of Education and Training to organize a pilot event to gain experience and then organize it at all schools in the district.

At the festival, the English Club of Luong Van Chanh Secondary School organized English speaking competitions in many forms such as public speaking, singing, storytelling in English, etc. Organized exhibitions and presentations of STEM products researched and manufactured by students and teachers of the school based on the application of integrated STEM knowledge; displayed and presented scientific and technical products that are the results of research projects, topics, and scientific and technical research works of the school's students.

Through the festival, students are provided with a healthy entertainment playground, seeing that "every day at school is a happy day", while also practicing some skills in communication, behavior, and practice for students. Help students realize the value of solidarity through collective activities, group activities, thereby learning from each other's experiences in the process of working and studying. Create opportunities for students to introduce to teachers and friends the results of the process of applying knowledge of subjects into practice, getting used to developing creative ideas right from when they are in school.

Display and present STEM products.

At the same time, build an environment where students can use English and practice the language skills they have learned naturally and enthusiastically; organize the development of English knowledge and skills through club activities. Create a healthy, exciting and useful playground, attract students to participate, contributing to enriching collective activities for students.

At the end of the festival, Luong Van Chanh Secondary School awarded prizes to groups and students with high achievements in the English club and STEM products, science and technology products.

Previously, Luong Van Chanh Secondary School organized a contest for teachers who are good at teaching textbooks of the 2018 General Education Program on STEM teaching. Thereby, effectively implementing STEM education in schools in the 2024-2025 school year and the following years; contributing to promoting innovation in teaching methods and forms and organizing educational activities in schools; helping students form ideas about scientific research, applying interdisciplinary knowledge to solve practical problems. At the same time, raising awareness of STEM education, creating an initial basis for spreading STEM teaching methods among teachers.
