On October 18, the People's Committee of Phu Hoa district organized a scientific workshop on preserving and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics associated with tourism development in the district.

Attending the workshop were comrade Phan Dinh Phung, former Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; in the district, there were comrade Le Ngoc Tinh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council; Huynh Thi Son, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Nguyen Ba Khai, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee; former leaders of the district; comrades in the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the Executive Committee of the District Party Committee; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, and mass organizations of the district; leaders of communes and towns, and scientists and researchers.

Comrade Nguyen Ba Khai, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee delivered the opening speech at the workshop.

Currently, in Phu Hoa district, there are nearly 100 historical and cultural relics that are well preserved in the community, of which 20 relics are ranked by the state (including 3 national relics and 17 provincial relics).

The workshop had 15 articles, divided into 3 research groups, including: preserving and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics in Phu Hoa district; resources and types of tourism development in the district; solutions for tourism development associated with relics and scenic spots in the district.

At the workshop, delegates focused on clarifying the potentials, strengths, opportunities and challenges for preserving and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics associated with tourism development, proposing effective and practical solutions to continue to further promote the value of historical and cultural relics with tourism development of Phu Hoa district.

The workshop contributed to clarifying theoretical issues on preserving and promoting the values of historical and cultural relics in tourism development of Phu Hoa district. On that basis, solutions were proposed to promote the exploitation of potential and promote the values of historical and cultural relics in sustainable tourism development in the locality. This is also an opportunity for Phu Hoa district to connect with provincial departments, branches and sectors in supporting the promotion of tourism potential in the direction of preserving and promoting heritage values, contributing to promoting rapid and sustainable economic development.
