Phu Hoa town was established in 2002, is the political, economic, cultural and social center of Phu Hoa district. After more than 22 years of construction, up to now, the town's infrastructure has been basically completed, however, no roads and public works in the town have been named.
Currently, in the town, there are 26 roads built according to urban planning and in stable use (25 asphalt roads, 1 dirt road), 2 public works (1 square and 1 park). Regarding street naming, the draft project uses 7 names of famous people from outside the province, 19 names of famous people in the province, including 16 names of famous people from Phu Hoa district. There are 10 famous people from the feudal period and 16 famous people from the period of fighting against French colonialism and American imperialism used to name streets. Regarding public works, it is planned to name 4/3 square Thanh Nien square, and name the park next to the town lake Thanh Ho park.

At the conference, delegates basically agreed with the draft, affirming the suitability and necessity of naming roads and public works to effectively implement urban management and administrative management; create favorable conditions for organizations and individuals inside and outside the district to carry out economic, cultural and social transactions. At the same time, it contributes to educating the national historical and cultural traditions, enhancing the love for the homeland and country for the young generation and the people. In addition, delegates also said that place names should be used to name short routes (under 150-200m); prioritize choosing famous place names, historical and cultural events, scenic spots, famous people, typical historical figures of Phu Hoa district to name roads and public works; add some famous people's names to name roads,...
Concluding the conference, comrade Dinh Cong Thach, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of the District Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the delegates' comments. At the same time, he requested the advisory council to continue to edit, review, and supplement the Project before submitting it to the competent authority for consideration and decision.
