Attending the congress were comrade Tran Van Thai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims; Huynh Thi Son, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Bui Van Kim, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee; Nguyen Thi My Thu Thoa, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the District Party Committee; leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, departments, offices and units of the district; leaders of communes and towns and 70 delegates representing 284 members in the district.

During the past term, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin in Phu Hoa district has focused on doing a good job of advising the Party Committee and the government to fully implement policies for victims of Agent Orange/dioxin; innovating the content and methods of operation of the Association, propagating, mobilizing, guiding and helping victims of Agent Orange/dioxin, especially those in particularly difficult circumstances.
Comrades Huynh Thi Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Bui Van Kim, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee presented gifts to the Congress.
The Phu Hoa District Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin has developed 48 new members, bringing the total number of members in the district to 284. The district has 639 people exposed to Agent Orange/Dioxin. The Association has coordinated to mobilize 1,032 gifts for Agent Orange/Dioxin victims with a total amount of VND872 million; coordinated to transfer regular allowances to 15 victims and transfer scholarships to 2 students with an amount of VND500,000/month.
Along with that, the staff and members of the Association of Agent Orange/dioxin victims in the district take the lead and actively participate in local movements, especially in building new rural areas, participating in grassroots reconciliation work, and contributing to building cultural residential areas and cultural families.
In the coming term, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Phu Hoa district strives to recruit 60-80 new members; actively mobilize 60-70 million VND for the Agent Orange victim care fund and mobilize 600-800 gifts each year.
The Executive Committee of the District Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, Term IV, was introduced to the Congress.
Speaking at the congress, comrade Tran Van Thai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and Bui Van Kim, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the activities of the Association in the past time. At the same time, he proposed that in the new term, the Executive Committee of the District Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, Term IV, continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and unity to direct the work of the Association; continue to gather and mobilize victims of Agent Orange to participate in the organization of the Association . The Association becomes a solid support and a great source of encouragement for members and victims of Agent Orange. In the spirit of solidarity and democracy, the delegates unanimously elected the Executive Committee of the Phu Hoa District Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, term IV, 2024-2029, consisting of 13 members; Ms. Che Thi Xuan Xinh was elected as the President of the Association. The Congress also elected a delegation of 10 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate to attend the upcoming Provincial Congress of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, to be held in the near future.
